The Global Millennium Development Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) Organization in “Special Consultative Status” with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (UN), launched Public Private Partnership Forum (P3 Forum) in order to provide a coherent framework through which public and private sectors can explore cross-sector development partnerships that complement efforts by the UN and the international community in fulfilling their commitments to the Millennium Declaration signed by 189 countries in 2000 and in further agreements by the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG 17, “Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development”, recognizes multi-stakeholder partnerships as important vehicles for mobilizing and sharing knowledge, expertise and financial resources to support the achievement of the SDGs in all countries, particularly developing countries.
In accordance with Special Measures Resolution (P3Res / SM 12052021), P3 Forum operates under an Executive Committee which works in conjunction with the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Members of the Committee are responsible for facilitating and overseeing the annual programming of events and activities of P3 Forum.
P3 Forum raises funds through a variety of methods, including program partnerships and event sponsorship, the establishment of trusts and tax-exempt donations made directly to the Foundation.
